The Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) was established in 2001. It is the first international academic organization established for proteomics, and its main purpose is to establish mutual assistance and mutual academic exchange through international organizations. The cohesion of power, and then integrate the energy of proteomics research around the world, and promote the development of new technologies and related exegesis, and in-depth exploration of the pathogenesis of human disease, prevention and treatment of all areas.

HUPO is currently the world’s top academic organization for international protein bodies. The committees in the organization have spread all over the world. They also dominate many international academic cooperation programs, such as: Chromosome centric human proteome project (C-HPP), PlasmaProteome Project ( The international proteomics project such as PPP, Human Liver Proteome Project (HLPP), and Human Brain Proteome Project (HBPP) has been widely recognized and respected by academics, government agencies and industry in various countries, and has a wide range of applications in proteomics. Internationally leading position.

Currently Taiwan has become an official member of HUPO. HUPO holds an annual international academic conference (with about 1,000 participants) and is organized in different regions such as the Americas, Asia, Oceania, and Europe. The cities that have been held in the past include Versailles (2002) and Montreal, Canada (2003). ), Beijing, China (2004), Munich, Germany (2005), Long Beach, USA (2006), Seoul, South Korea (2007), Netherlands, Amsterdam (2008) and Dodge, Canada (2009), Sydney, Australia (2010), Geneva, Switzerland (2011), Boston, USA (2012), Yokohama, Japan (2013), Madrid, Spain (2014) and this year will be held in Vancouver, Canada. It is an annual event for proteomics, protein chemistry, genetics, biochemistry, and statistical systems biology. It provides an excellent research and exchange platform for famous scholars at home and abroad. In addition, it also holds many innovative research and technical education courses as well as transnational large-scale human protein. Physical Research Project tracking reports and other academic activities.

The Institute of Chemistry of the Academia Sinica was established in July of the Republic of China in July. It is one of the first institutes established by the Academia Sinica. After relocating, it was reintroduced in April of the Republic of China in April and April. During the period from the 46th to the 70th year of the Republic of China, under the leadership of successive Directors Mr. Wei Yanshou, Mr. Chen Chaodong and Mr. Lin Yuchuan, the work field gradually expanded, and organic, food, and electrochemistry were established in the category of pure chemistry and applied chemistry. And the foundation of marine chemistry research. In the seventieth year of the Republic of China, under the impetus of the past presidents, excellent researchers were recruited, precision instruments and equipment were purchased, and a research building was built. The scope of the existing research has expanded to the solid state, catalyst and surface chemistry, organic metal, physical and theoretical chemistry, and research topics and extended to new chemical materials and life substances.

The Taiwan Proteomics Society was founded in 2003. The incumbent dean of the Academia Sinica, Academician Wang Huiji, initially held the first meeting in Taipei and about 40 founding members participated in the conference. The main purpose of this conference was to promote the attention and promotion of proteomics research in the scientific field in Taiwan, and at the same time to create the basic knowledge of proteomics education for students above the university level. This meeting successfully received feedback from other academicians and the Ministry of Education. Universities have successively conducted many courses related to proteomics within the university, and a group of scientists have also started publishing Chinese versions of proteomics books. In the past few years, Taiwan’s protein science has developed quite rapidly. The 16 universities and research institutes in Taiwan have rich proteomics research equipment and core technologies. Since its establishment in 2003, the Taiwan Proteome Society has more than 500 registered members. Join, and the number of members per year increases. Taiwanese scientists have also published many papers related to proteomics. More and more scientists in Taiwan are quite optimistic about the development of the protein body science. Since a small conference in 2003, the Taiwan Protein Society has continuously promoted the rapid development of proteomics technology in order to make a greater contribution to the science of Taiwan.

The efforts of the Director of the Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Director Chen Yuru and the director of the Taiwan Protein Society, Liao Baoqi, successfully won the right to host the 15th International Conference. He hoped that he would like to invite well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad to take this opportunity. Academic research and experience share and exchange, and demonstrate Taiwan’s research strength in human protein body organization, enhance domestic academic status, and give international experts the opportunity to understand Taiwan’s efforts in this area. In the agenda of the meeting, there are lectures, seminars, seminars, and research papers. In this way, the academic forums were jointly held to enrich the agenda of the conference in order to increase the participation of relevant academic personnel from both domestic and foreign proteome organizations and to double the effectiveness of the international conference in Taiwan.

HUPO 2016 (15th Human Proteome Organization World Congress 2016) is scheduled to be held from September 18 to September 22, 2016 at the Taipei International Convention Center and Taipei World Trade Center. It is expected that about 1200 domestic and foreign experts and scholars will be on site and will make this The conference became an important international conference for the organization of protein histology in the Asia-Pacific region. It also hopes that Taiwan will become the focus of international attention at one stroke.
