The International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) was founded in 1949. Today, it has more than 3,500 members from more than 70 countries and regions in the world. The International Electrochemical Society organizes regular meetings, academic conferences and awards and other events every year. It also has the publication Electrochimica Acta (Science Journal). ISE organizes a large-scale annual meeting each fall. In recent years, the Institute has developed rapidly. The number of participants in the annual meeting has reached nearly 2,000.

Since 2003, the International Electrochemical Society has decided to organize a new spring meeting of the International Electrochemical Society focusing on the hot topics of a certain discipline. This is one of the international electrochemistry conferences. The scale of the conference is controlled from 200 to 300 people, mainly focused on Experts in the field have conducted in-depth discussions on the hot issues in a frontier field to promote the further development of the research in this hot field, and thus laid the relevant theoretical foundation.

The current president of the Taiwan Electrochemical Society, Prof. Huang Bingzhao from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and colleagues from the Electrochemistry Industry in Taiwan successfully won the bid to host the 66th Annual Conference. This opportunity will be used to invite well-known experts from home and abroad. Scholars conduct academic research and experience sharing and exchange, and demonstrate Taiwan’s strength in electrochemical research, enhancing the academic status of domestic research, and giving international experts the opportunity to understand Taiwan’s efforts in this area.
