The Asia Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (ASCPaLM) was founded in 1990. Under the authorization of the Society, the Asian Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Congress (ASCPaLM Congress) has been held regularly since its inaugural meeting in 1975 in Seoul, South Korea. Subsequently, the congress has taken place biennially in major cities across Asia, including Tokyo, Japan (1977); Seoul, South Korea (1979); Tokyo, Japan (1981); Seoul, South Korea (1984); Saga, Japan (1986); Seoul, South Korea (1988); Sapporo, Japan (1990); Jeju, Korea (1992); Taipei, Taiwan (1994); Yogyakarta, Indonesia (1996); Kochi, Japan (1998); Busan, Korea (2000); Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2002); Medan, Indonesia (2004); Kobe, Japan (2006); Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (2009); Jakarta, Indonesia (2010); Kyoto, Japan (2012); and Seoul, South Korea (2014). With steadily increasing attendance, the ASCPaLM Congress has become one of the most representative and influential conferences in the field of clinical pathology and laboratory medicine in the Asia-Pacific region.
The upcoming congress, the 19th Asian Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Congress (ASCPaLM 2026), will be organized by the Asia Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and held from October 2 to 4, 2026, at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) in Taipei, Taiwan.
ASCPaLM 2026 is a three-day scientific meeting featuring a comprehensive and diverse academic program, including 4 Plenary Lectures, 3 Pre-Congress Workshops, 24 Symposia, and approximately 100 Poster Presentations. The congress will provide in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics related to clinical pathology and laboratory medicine. Renowned experts from across Asia and beyond will be invited to deliver lectures and engage in focused discussions on key thematic areas. The total number of participants is expected to reach approximately 1,000 attendees.
