DTrainees and graduates of field-based
training programs in applied epidemiology and public health practice
are invited to submit abstracts (in English only) on investigations
or projects undertaken during training and completed within the past
two years. We are interested in abstracts describing outbreak
investigations; development, implementation, evaluation of emerging
diseases (e.g. HIV/AIDS, TB, Trypanosomiasis, Hemorrhagic Fevers,
etc.) surveillance activities; or other areas in applied
epidemiology in which the results are linked to public health
action. This conference emphasizes specifically on linking
investigation results to public health actions. Abstracts of an
underlying research question "How do my research findings lead to
public health actions that improve population's health?" will
receive preferential consideration in abstract reviews.
