Dear colleagues,

Being the conference chairman and on behalf of the Risk Management Society of Taiwan, it is my greatest honor to welcome you in participating the "FAPARMO & RMST International Risk and Insurance Management Conference, Taipei, 2004" in Taipei. This demonstrates how significant it is for risk management in a global recession scenario. Accordingly, the theme of "Proactive & Persistent Implementation of Risk Management" was adopted for the forthcoming conference.

The 2004 event will offer participants with various scientific and social programs. The scientific program includes a series of lectures covering Risk Management in Business, Risk Management in Insurance and Finance, Risk Control and Crisis Management. This will be a great opportunity for all of us to learn and exchange the relevant knowledge in addition to risk management techniques. Delegates are also encouraged to broaden their community connections through the social events of this conference.

You may have known that Taiwan is also referred to as Formosa (beautiful island in Portuguese). Other than sharing the academic experiences, you will also enjoy the warmest hospitality of the people; not to mention the breath-taking landscape and the rich heritage of this Treasured Island.
