TC-16 of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Southeast Asian Geotechnical Society (SEAGS) and Taiwan Geotechnical Society (TGS) are pleased to invite you to attend the 3rd International Conference on Site Characterization (ISC'3).  The conference will be held in Taipei, Taiwan during April 1-4, 2008.  It will showcase professionals, equipment, methods, and organizations associated with geotechnical and geophysical site characterization.  With short courses, keynote/technical presentations delivered by some of the leading experts in the area, we look forward to an exciting and rewarding event.  The ISC’3 is expected to draw experts and practitioners from every continent who work in infrastructure, construction, mining, petroleum, geotechnical and the geoenvironmental fields.

As the capital city of Taiwan, Taipei (www.taipei.gov.tw) is a business as well as cultural center.  There are plenty of local attractions for sightseeing and shopping, restaurants for those who like to venture into authentic oriental cuisines.
